Which coil should I get?

I've finally decided to bite the bullet and do it right. I'm getting a crank trigger and Crane HI-6 ignition box for the 390. This will allow the Holley Commander 950 to control timing.

Question then is, should I get the Crane LX-91 coil or the Crane LX-92 coil ?

On a side note, I've upgraded all the fuel lines to be E85 compatible, and I'll be running that. Should make for some interesting tuning. I cant wait.

I'd spend the extra 10 bucks myself... I've ran the LX-92 and never had a problem with it in my mud drag truck. Never ran the LX-91 so I can't compare or disparage against it.

Crane recommends the LX-91 for the street, LX-92 for drag or any short duration racing. The LX=92 will eat spark plugs. Do I hear overkill?

Yes, I believe there is an echo in here. "overkill..."

LX-91 it is then. I dont need it to eat spark plugs.
