I take it your not going to use any stock piping? If thats the case, any shorty header should work. I have heard BBK are some pretty nice ones. Pacesetter. IMO its the gasket that makes it good and bad. Thick gaskets. If your tight on cash, i have a pair of ford mustang shorty headers. Stock off older mustangs. Not show quality, but $25 bucks...
I put a true dual exhaust on my 88 5.0. 2.5" piping, 2 dynomax ultra flo mufflers and tailpipes at 90º for that cackle. sounds really nice. IMO straight piped , or just glasspacks on 302's sound like crap.
