engine mods
just curious, im going to be going to a 4 barrel setup soon to replace my old beat up carb, how much power increase will a 600 cfm carb, edelbrock performer intake and a mid range cam, plus eliminating my egr/smog setup give my 351?

What do you have for exhaust?
Factory 4bbl vs 2bbl is good for 20-30hp.. but the factory exhaust is a cork and the 4bbl intake is junk. The Edelbrock gear should really wake it up.. as long as you have a decent(free flowing) exhaust system with headers.

I put a wieand stealth intake and edelbrock 600 cfm carb on my 351w HO(had a stock cast iron 4brl manifold and junk carb). I noticed quite a difference in power by the seat of the pants dyno,but I wouldn't think it was 20-30 more HP than it had before,but it sure feels like it!!

The performer intake is basically just a cast aluminum copy of the stock 4bbl manifold. While it is a step up from the 2 bbl., about the only thing it does is weigh less. If you're looking for horsepower, at least go with the performer RPM or better yet, the RPM Air Gap.
