ICP sensor ?

So I change my ICP sensor today, and when I pulled the old one off, I found what looks to be oil on/in the hole of the sensor and the hole that it threads into. Is this typical? what does this mean? Hope it isn't Terminal!

The ICP sensor measures high pressure oil.

well then, I guess that would explain the oil I found wouldn't it! Thanks
