Probably the ABS sensor itself has malfunctioned.

There should be an ABS diagnostic wire that you can ground to get the light to blink out any trouble codes. I'm not sure where that is on a 93 though...

Question Same problem, need help

Anyone else have any ideas on this? My 90 F-250 is doing the same thing. Fuse is in and good, replaced the ABS sending unit on the difff and checked the wire harness connections on the truck. I have no idea what to do next, the damn thing is still on and bugging me, may just pull the bulb out so it never somes on again

I did a search and could not find any other info,
Thanks

On the 90, look for a black wire with an orange tracer in the under-dash harness where it meets the firewall. There should be a plastic connector on the end of it. You can ground this wire to get the abs light to blink out a trouble code so you might have a better idea of where the fault is. Wiggle the wires that connect to the master cylinder float switch to make sure they are all connected. I had a nagging ABS light and it ended up being nothing more than a loose connection at the master cylinder.

I've had the same problem in my '87 for years now and have tried everything mentioned in this post to no avail. The last thing I am going to try is to replace the fluid reservoir. It may be a bad float which is why the wires all check out good. I'm not sure when I'm going to get this done, as the light is very low on my list of things to do, but when I do, I will post the results. Until then, electricians tape over the light works great. How is it that Ford can make a light that is always on, BUT NEVER BURNS OUT??????

Ha! good question. All the wires on my reservoir looked fine, but the plastic connector had broken internally and allowed the pin to push out as the connector was plugged in. It looked like it was connected on the outside but wasn't making contact causing the abs light to come on.
