CUSTOM CREW CAB CONVERSION?
I was pondering about actually doing this. Has anyone here ever placed a 65-66 crew cab body on a regular 65-66 type 4x2 long bed frame? Can a short 64-66 new style box be used, or will it have to be "shortened" in front to fit behind this cab on the frame. I have access to several regular cabs around here and want to try to 'make" my own crew cab with some fancy welding. I am looking for factory crew cab rear doors & hinges, etc., if anyone has any.. Any thoughts on this???

CUSTOM CREW CAB CONVERSION?
I saw a home-made '66 crew at the Monroe, Wa., swap meet last year. It was a remarkable achievement, to be sure, but not a real one and, in my opinion, not as well made as a real one. The most obvious difficulties were the roof panel and the forward edge of the rear doors with their integral window channels. However, the truck looked "right", and the styleside box fit well, so I suppose it can be done.
