Ok,, I have a malfunction question. Mine as in previous post has the light on indicating the system is off even when I depress the button. Is this a normal failure mode or is this what happens when a sensor fails. Thanks Jim

LOL at Marks brief reply...

as for vettdvr... When my sensors began failing I had the same symptom of the dash switch not seeming to work properly..

As for the 'hard *****' described by aklim <barely stiffling a laugh> yes the sensor will "see" a hitch in many cases.. depends on hitch itself in terms of length and heigth relative to sensor <ok Mark, go ahead lol>

Bill let me see if I have this right. If a sensor fails the light will stay ON? and you can't turn it off with the button? Is this correct?

Also if it is a sensor is there a way to check just one? thanks Jim

did this problem happen all at once or were there other symptoms going on over time?
Well it all started when I had the securty module replaced by the dealer $575.00 ouch!! when I picked it up it started doing this. Of corse the dealer said it is not related. I find it hard to belive because it started before I got of the dealer lot. They would like me to agree to 2 hours labor to check it out. I have already given them to much money. I would like to try to figure it myself with the help of any one who reads these posts. Thank you mike
