i'm wondering if it's possible to build myself a breakoutbox.
i can run to the junk yards and pull the EEC from the firewall along with it's coupler and the harness coupler.
cut off both plastic couplers from their respective locations and wire them all up onto a breadboard.
then hook up both custom couplers into their testing locations onto my truck harness/EEC plug and have at it.
is this possible? my FSM says that a breakoutbox is needed as damage to the pin connectors will result. without a breakout box i won't be able to run down the rest of the diagnostics that the FSM tells me to do.
i'm also wondering if it's absolutely neccessary to have a breakout box in the first place. if i can still use my DVOM and just back probe the PINs on the plugs then i'll do that.
