i have the Rough Country replacement spring pack leveling kit and it's perfectly quiet. the noise you are getting is because there is no teflon scrape pad at the ends of the add-a-leaf spring, and the spring just rubs against the stock leaves and makes the squeak. i rode in JTharvey's truck and i noticed that EXTREMELY annoying squeak.
my leveling kit added about 2-2.5" to the front, and it made it ride great. there is 5 thinner leaves and not 3 thick leaves like the stock spring "pack" with a add-a-leaf. it made my truck level. then i decided i wanted a 4.5" lift, and since my truck was already i didnt want to change out my perfectly-fine, almost new spring packs. so, i bought a Donahoe 4.5" spring hanger kit. added 4.5" front and 4" rear in the form of blocks. yes it's 7.5" of block but im going for new Deaver spring packs that eliminate the blocks alltogether after i get some new wheels and tires. it's in my webshots gallery. damn, their stuff is MASSIVE. it was really expensive for what i got, but it was the best and gives me peace of mind. it retains the same spring ride that i had when it was just leveled. but the overall ride is alot better and firmer (not harder) with the new Bilstein 5100 shocks which are just amazing, and they look good.
I have the DR 3" hanger and shackle kit. DR makes beefy well built stuff. Works great and allows me to use my stock leaf springs. With my bilstein shocks, I have a better ride that feels a tad better than stock.
do you have an add-a-leaf in there causing the "hanger squeek"? if so, im betting that it's the problem, metal to metal contact. if it is infact the hanger, im guessing bushing on the front bolt is worn or needs some lube? never heard of that though.
sorry its not actually a hanger but the soild mount at the front of the spring on the frame i can attually pust down on the front of the truck and it squeaks.
i didn't know if it was because of the new angle the spring is at or what could be causing it ive put about five of these kits on different trucks and never had it sound like this before.
well, actually the thing that the front spring mount connects to is technically a "hanger" i have two stock ones sitting on my shelf. here is donahoe's version of a "hanger"
are you sure it is that joint where it is squeaking? remove the bolt and put some grease in there. it's basically like disconnecting the spring so its not a extremely easy task.
I have Tuff Country 2.5" leveling kit and love it! A good level with a good ride. I am happy to say no squeaks or clunks from my front end. Now I just need to fit wheels and tires on my rig!
