IDM or wiring issue?
I recently purchased and installed a set of stage II injectors. The problem I am experiencing is a rough idle up to about 1500 rpm. I did a buzz test, and a cylinder contribution test. The contribution test showed cylinders 6,7, and 8 contribution balance fault. I swapped out injectors and the same codes keep popping up. I have checked everything else it could possibly be; connections; oil, everything. I got ahold of my friend's scan tool and pulled a P1670/Engine feedback signal not detected. Has anyone dealt with this fault, and if so, what was the fix? I have a strong feeling that this may be the root of my injector issues. Thanks

have you checked the wiring, uvc harnesses, or tried swapping your solenoid packs to other injectors?
could also be loose poppet screws. but seeing how you just got the injectors i doubt it. if you bought em from bean he flow tests em. so you could rule that out if that was the case.

I have checked the uvc harnesses, and am going to pull the main harness and check for a short or open connection. Haven't swapped solenoid packs. But have pulled the injectors to check for cut o-rings and put them back in different locations and still get the same codes for 6, 7, and 8 injectors. I am fairly certain at this point it is not the injectors themselves. Just hope I can get this thing licked soon.

Yet another day, and still haven't fixed the problem. Nothing wrong with the wiring, or connections. I guess now all that is left to do is slave in another IDm and see if it resolves the problem. I found a definition for the p1670 fault, ( When a commanded IDM response is not recieved this fault is set). I think I may have narrowed it down to the IDM, possibly PCM, but won't be sure until I can get an IDM to swap out. If anyone here has one lying around, (99-up), I would like to work out a deal to get it from you. Thanks
