marv02,

Maybe the Dodge guys just aren't as vocal as us here; I think they're masochists driving those Dodges!

There was a brand new Dodge MegaCab on 35's sitting in the parking lot yesterday...damn that thing looked mean! Very nice I gotta say, but it just fuels my passion to make my SD even more badass'er.

In all honesty, when I was looking for my next vehicle, it had to be 3/4 ton, solid front axle, able to fit 33's stock, and have lever actuated 4x4 system. Both Ford & Dodge fit the bill, but the seats in the Dodge were damn uncomfortable! So the SD stole me away with their Barcalounger-like seats. Strange to think I would have been driving a Dodge these past 4 years!

My truck has been pretty good considering my past experiences with Chevy's; sorry to hear you've had so many problems!

Nonetheless, I'll spare you the vitriol the other users on here have and wish you the best of luck with your next truck!

But don't be a stranger, stop back in here from time to time!! Your truck might have let you down, but I can guarantee the FTE community won't!!

Talking Benning happy with you choices

Thanks for understanding Like I said I am a Ford person but I just waiting for a little bit before I purchase anouther Ford Truck my last 2 Ford trucks Were ok but not up to the standers of the 1997 and earlyer trucks just saying Ford need to go back and make them more trouble free as were the older trucks.

I know that Dodge trucks will break thats normal but if you keep on hearing the same parts are going wrong in 50% of the same year trucks and the manufacture knows about it something should be done about it not keep on selling them with a know problem.

If the ***** on you radio falls no big deal but blowing out plugs front ends the fall apart is a big deal.

I not saying all Ford are bad but they are not bullet proof as they once were So I thought I would give Dodge trucks a chance this time around.

I use to have a Kenworth 2000 class 8 over the road truck it was my truck of choice I did not want to drive anything else Then I gotten A Freightliner Century Class (Columbia) for the price I found out this was a nice truck also, I dont drive over the road trucks any more but Ihad to go back and drive for a living again either truck will work just as nice as each other.

Lot of driver as in my self Did not want anything to do with a Feightshaker but after ownning one a driving it for a while it turned out to be a good truck so dont say the other person truck is something you would not want to own or drive untill you give it a try for you'r self if you dont like it it's a machine you can buy the other brand.

It a machine metal, plastic. rubber, nuts and bolt some are put togeter better that the other guy is what you are happy with thats what counts YOU'R ARE THEY ONE PAYING FOR IT.

It like you best freinds other halfs you mite want to kill them and could not live with them but as long as the best freind can stand them thats all that counts and there are happy.

Dont Worry Be Happy

Thanks for all the info all of have given me may be after Ford fixs all there know problems and own up to the ones they have now then I mite come Back to Ford I a Ford man but Ford needs to go back and re think there ways.

Or they will keep on losing Ford drivers to the other brands I keep a eye on this web site and see if Ford starts making a truck that has not all the little nick nack problems and blowing plugs out, front ends that fall apart get rid of those aluminum gear sets in there trany's Ect

Oh yea the reason I went to Dodge read there fourm they dont have half the common problems Ford are haveing and between the rebates employee pricing and getting $9500.00 off the sale price I went With Dodge.

I don't Care If Chevy gave me a Truck I would not Own a Chevy I would sell it off to a Lemond lot thats all they are good for or a a place that the cats and dog cant sleep in at night.
no you just don't read about them. get used to bad auto tranies and warped brakes big time .
in my shop this week alone we had 8 dodges and jeeps with blown auto's all 2002 to 03's with low miles and just out of warrenty by a few k, no help from dodge. sorry your out of warrenty.

plus i did the same after 2 dodges with 1 though lemon law after 3 tranies, 4 sets of brakes and blown head gaskets 2 times i came back to ford and it's very minor problems only my 05 has not had any at all.

Going the other way

The company I work for went from Dodge to Ford two years ago and have never looked back. The 9500.00 cash discount wont make up for the truck.
Gooood luck!
