oil in coolant?

04' 250 on its way to ford.....local garage said the engine oil was getting in the cooling system.....anyone heard of this?

couldnt fing anything in the search.

yes ,it has been more prevelent with diesels

What engine ?
is coolant in the crancase oil also?
chk the diesel forum if one

6.0....and no they said the coolant was not getting in the crankcase. i spoke with ford and they THINK it might be under warranty.

a 6.0.. im guessing a headgasket problem. if you have under 100,000 miles and no mods to the truck it WILL be covered under warranty because it's under the powertrain warrenty.

I had the same problem with mine, it turned out to be the oil cooler, which is the ford only part that the oil filter screws onto..

The diesels are known to leak fuel into the coolant. If it's a diesel, is it engine oil? Or diesel fuel?

i believe they said engine oil.....yes its a diesel. they wont look at it untill this week.
