B3000 Camshaft Synchronizer HELP!

Hello everyone,
I am working on a Mazda B3000 Pickup with the 3.0L V-6. The Camshaft Position Sensor/Synchronizer is damage and needs replaced. I have called every salvage yard in town and none of them show this engine had the Camshaft Position Senor/Sychronizer on it. I have read other forums where people with mid to late 90's Taurus cars have found the part at Rock Auto.com for 35 bucks. Part # 689104. This looks exactly like my Synchronizer. Can anyone tell me if these are interchangable with the Mazdas? Anyone know where a guys can buy one of these? The dealer can get them for $131.41.

Additional Information:
On the old Synchronizer here are the numbers I found:
12a362
f58e-ba
5c22

Please Help
Also has anyone ever had to replace these, are they a bearcat? I had to replace the heads on this vehicle, so it is easilly accessable right now, but I need to get this thing finished.
Thanks,
Mike
