fuel sending units

What fuel sending unit models are interchangable or exactly the same. Seen posted on ebay a 61-77 being the same. Would be alot easier to get one from local supplier if known what models are the same for f100's. Would all that are behind the seat interchanged?

I would think that any of the years that had the seat tank would work. They are all the same height so the length of travel should be the same. I don't know if they changed the bolt pattern or the diameter.

Try Napa if it doesn't fit I am sure they would take it back.

LMC Truck lists two models '57-'60 and '61-'72.

'57-60 gas tanks were 18 gal and square looking. '61-72 are 19.5 gal. and have an angular two facet front.

LMC has been wrong before though...

Thanks for the replies; I figure up thru 72 & possible newer as well; saw acouple on ebay for sell; weighing cost of reproduction or originial. Atleast the repro work.

The LMC catalog I got that info from is for years 1957-1972. Newer parts probably work, they just weren't applicable.

If the tank shape is the same, you'll probably be fine.

I miss bidding on one on ebay; sold for $14.99; I would like to find a use good one to put in my daily driver; but I've been driving my 66 for four years and filling up every 150 miles, so far I have ran out. Keeping the fingers cross....
