How close are they? Are they interchangeable? The B4000 can go from '94-02 and be interchangeable, what year Rangers would be interchangeable with it (or, atleast a '94 B4000)?

 

What parts are you talking about? I've had a '94 B-3000 and an XLT 4.0 at the same time and some parts were interchangable and some not. I have a Haynes manual for "Ranger pickups 1993 thru 1997 all models" sub heading says Also includes 1993 thru 1997 Mazda B 2300, B3000, B4000. Both my vehicles has the sticker "Made in Edison N.J." Sorry for the non definitive answer of Maybe.

 

I think the only diffrence is in the body styles. I know the engines are the same

 

Body styles and some interior features. Mechaniaclly they are the same trucks.

 

I have a 99 b-4000, and as far as interchangability my experience has shown me that less than 2% are not. When it comes to buying parts it pays to try both dealers you'll find a big difference. Example: I needed a finish panel my pass. door went to Mazda and the guy in parts said we don't sell just the finish panel. I would have to buy the whole interior of the door as a unit for 150 +bucks. Took the panel which was stamped Ford to the Ford dealer and $23.18 I have the part " A little research goes a long way"
