Only reg cabs and supercabs have them due to child seat safety, crew cabs have plenty of room in the back for a car seat. I dunno why they just don't put them in all the trucks tho. It would be nice if my god son could ride up front with me.
i do understand about the room being in the rear but whats the difference with the front?? some engineer deems it not a good idea, just curious, seems as though it would be safe
not really. the thought is that if you have a reg cab or super cab, you myst put a child seat in the front seat. if you have a crew cab, you must put it in the back seat. thats why if you have a reg/sc, you do have the switch. it prevents you from killing the baby in the front seat from the air bag.it has nothing to do with money. i wish i had a switch in my excursion.
Yea I understand what its for but it would still be nice if they would offer it cause most of the time my backseat is storage for tools and what not. I know there are a lot of others like that. It would be just much easier being able to turn the air bag off and put the car seat up front.
yeah the kids used to love riding in the front in the supercab, nice and high they can see everything, now the scenery has changed being stuck to the back, but you know what they say--safety first!!!
