I ordered a transgo shift kit for my f150 w/ 4.2l + 4R70W last week. I finally got the kit today and one of the separator plate gaskets is torn. Instead of waiting longer and possibly spending more money than the gasket its self to send the kit back im just going to go to ford and pick up a new one but heres the problem. I have NO CLUE weather it is the upper or lower one so thats why im posting. Can someone help me determine which one it is by a few "features"/holes it has. Also it is the transtec one that comes in the kit with the light blue stripe. A pic is below.
I went to ford and picked up the gasket. For the most part everything matches up fine. The transtec one that game with the shift kit has 4 holes that the one from ford does not though. Any ideas?
Sounds good. Considering that gasket is for the 4R70W and I also bought the one with the 3 big holes (didnt need it) im going to take it back and pick up the one similar to above for the AODE. Correct me if im wrong but even though its called aode/4r70w they are two separate transmissions right?
