352 Engine?
I need help locating the engine numbers on my engine to determine if my truck still has the original 352 in it. Where can I find the numbers and can someone decode the numbers once I find them?
Thanks
Ricky

Sounds like you are on the track to having a FE series engine (330 to 428 including the big trucks). Because it appears to have been a swap job, chances are good that it was the middle of the road 360. You will need to check the stroke of the motor to get a better idea (how-to posted by BanjoPicker). If this is correct, you have a motor that can easily be built up to larger cubes as the interchange of parts for the motor is endless. Of course you can always pull it and put inwhat you want, but it will probably end up costing the same as a build up in the end. Check out the FE engine forum, give us some numbers from the inside of the engine and have fun!

C5TE being a 33MD rod (long rod 6.54") and the 2T casting on the crank is 3.5"
no matter which way you look at it that would be a 352 or 360. Not much differenc.
Mine has the C7TE rods 2T crank and C8AE +.030 390 pistons. Call it a
30 over 360 or an 80 over 352. Mine was also the off green color with original 4 speed.
tsall the same no matter how you analize it. I have a 2U (390 crank)
and C7AE rods that i might use this next summer.
