International Engine Number

Does anyone know specifics about the International engine number t444e, and how it relates to the year/model of the Ford 7.3 PSD? I'm wondering if my 2000 F250 7.3 is a t44e? And, where do you find this info out? I'd sure like to get International dealer prices than Ford stealership prices...

The 7.3L PSD is a T444E, just in a Ford truck so a different name. You can get parts from an Interanational dealer, and usually cheaper.

All 7.3 PSDs are T444Es with some minor differences such as cooling system, larger oil pan, different injectors, etc. If you get the engine serial number off your truck you can buy replacement parts for most stuff at International.

Where is the serial # on the engine?

The serial number is stamped in the block on the flat surface behind the oil cooler oil filter adapter. On mine it was stamped in raw metal so I cleaned it up and smeared paint on it so it wouldn't rust over again.
