That's right. There are 4 wires coming from the upfitter switch harness. The orange/light green and the orange are 30 amp feeds. The orange/yellow and orange/light blue are 10 amp feeds. The four pass-thru wires give you an easy way to get power from under the dash to the other side of the firewall. Just pick one. When I installed mine, I installed a four pin, weather tite connector on the end of the pass thru wires in the engine compartment. This mates with a matching four pin connector (so far I've used 2) to power lights, etc. Makes for a more OEM look but crimp connectors and tape work just as well. The main thing is keeping moisture out of the connections you make. Under the dash, crimp connectors are fine.

I've read these threads about upfitters, most of them talking about how to install the kit if your truck doesn't have them to begin with my new truck i got last week, has the swtiches already installed. i'd like to add some better reverse lights. can someone help me with the right way to install these. I am not an electrical wiz and need to know where to get the best connectors to make them weathertight, and how to hook up the relay and the rest of the wiring to make the ligths work. i would guess that the reverse lights would need the 30amp switch. i'd also like to have them come on when i put it in reverse.
sorry if it sounds dumb, but i just want to know how to do it, i've never added any lights to my 97, so it's new to me. i have a basic knowledge of wiring but want to do this right the first time and have it work for the long haul.
