The wires you are referring too are spare pass through wires to the cab area. The upfitter switch wires are on the driver side above the emergency brake pedal in the cab.
You are not having to "finish it". You are simply making use of one of the features provided so that you would not have to come here and ask how to get wires through the firewall, etc.

The orange upfitter wires that go to your switches are located behind the inside fuse panel under the dash. You drop down the fuse panel and the 4 orange wires are labeled for the switches 1,2,3,4.
