Wheels and tires

I have a 66 custom cab camper special, I have what I believe is the original wheels, and could be the original tires, but not sure. My problem is this, the rims are split rim, I don't want that on the truck. Is there a manufacture that makes a wheel to fit the style and look that was original with out having the split rim? If not then I suppose I will just press on with getting some white spoke rims, and tires to go with it.

I think just about any Factory wheel for a Ford pickup will fit your application. Depending on whether your running 15's or 16's is the mitigating factor there.

The spare wheels from any F-150 up through 1996 will fit the bolt pattern and will still look right if you put the factory hubcaps back on......

Where are you located?

Located in Idaho, a fairly rust free zone if you stay off the salted roads.

Randy, The easiest thing might be to buy a mid to late 70s F250 and swap the axles in. I believe the splits were on the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. You could also do the same with a 150 if you aren't hauling anything. By doing so you would get either a modern 8 lug or 5 lug wheel pattern, disc brakes for the front, even get the power steering. Just a thought. The I-beams will bolt right up.

you do not say what size truck you need wheels for but the F100 F250 and F350 were all available with or without split rims in the early 60's. the problem you have is if you want to retain the original hubcaps you need to find rims from a 66 or older truck that did not come with split rims (67 and newer rims mount on the outside of the centers while the 66 and older are mounted inside the centers). i have some F100 and 4 F350 6 lug non split rims but all the F250's i have come accros lately have been split rim. and just in case some fanatic is out there i have some f100 15 inch 5 lug split rims for that points correct restoration. UGH!!! hawkrod

On the hubcaps, it was 65 & Down that mounted inside the center of the wheels. I have a 66 at home with the factory caps, and they go on from the outside.

66 and earlier F350 1 tons used a six bolt wheel. On the Bud Type duallie wheels they were 16 inch six bolters. On single rearwheel trucks they used 19.5 inch 6 bolt wheels, ALL non-split rim.
