Shift tubes

i need a new shift tube that goes down in the stering collum. i have a 1964 ford f-100 292 3 speed manual. any help will be apreciated. thanx

Your best bet would be salvage yards or ebay. You could even check hemmings for a donor vehicle.

Most of the time all you need is new bushings but I forget where they are available from.

Lmc truck carrys those reasonable. I got lucky and bought some parts from a guy who changed over to a tilt column and had recently rebuilt his old 1. That dang shift collar could be worn out to. My column had half the top of it busted off and the last dodo that had worked on the truck put in a floor shifter. He also reistalled the arms backwards on the column when he slapped it back together. .....

I'll DITTO the worn shift collar! That is usually the first problem. The spring pin hole wears out and the slack adds inches to the shift throw. Check that first, and these are available in the after market, maybe here?
