Anyone know of a good source of leaf springs for the front end of a 64 F-100? My passanger side is sagging about an inch and a half more then my drivers side. I have looked at a few places but they are all for the 56 and older trucks. Thanks.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Sep-02 AT 08:20 PM (EST)] LMC truck has them. 61-64 are the same. They have Std and heavy duty. The STD ones are rated at 1000 lbs and the heavy duty ones are 1100 lbs. $159.00 for std & $199.00 for HD.
They are on page 98 of there catalog.

I know this may be a dumb question, but to keep it simple, did you check out your spring bushings and shackle bushings first? My truck leaned to the left until I replaced all of the rubber and the king pins. Also take a look at the cab mounts. If your floor is rusted or the mounts are sagging, your truck will definatly lean.
Again, not trying to be a smart alec just some input.
Well I know my cab mounts are good and the cab floor isn't rusted either. I checked all of that before I bought it. I haven't looked at the spring bushings though. I will check that in the morning. What should I be looking for? General condition of them like cracking, buldging, or lack of? Also I want to make sure I have plenty of support for the 429 that is going in. I don't want to have to replace them after I put the engine in because of major fender clearance problems.
Take a look at this page( http://www.clubfte.com/users/krosati/trucktech.html ) and look at the bushing on the left. This is why my truck leaned.
But your right, look for the things you mentioned as well.
There are different spring rates available. One company has two different spring rates listed but I think one is for 4wd and the other is 2wd.
Do yu know the weight difference between the 351W and the 429?
Well I do know this for sure. The 351W is lighter then the 292 Y-block that was originally in there. The 460 is roughly 170 lbs heavier then the 292. So I can safely say I wont have that much of a weight differance. I looked at the pic form your post. The right side is a littel worn out. Just starting to go through the rubber. Btut I did notice that the back bushings on both sides are sitting funny. So I can imagine that once I change out the bushings I will be fine. Thanks Krosati.
