7.3 intercooler differences ?

7.3 intercooler differences ?
I bought a 02 7.3 f250 with front end damage , looking for a used intercooler I have found that the tanks on the older ones are aluminum and the tanks on mine are plastic . Is there a difference in the two or are they same ?

i thought all the 7.3 intercoolers had aluminum end tanks (not positive) and they started using the plastic ones on the '03 and up 6.0's. did you buy your truck used? maybe the previous owner swaped in a cooler from a 6.0
