I want to put 33'' tires on my 2006 Lariat and I originally heard that a leveling kit would do the trick as far as clearance. Today, however, when I got my Line-X installed (amazing btw, get one if you don't have one), the lady said that the installer said that it would rub every time I try to turn and would make a loud noise and wear the tires and the wheel wells down to nothing. Suspension lifts are nice but muy $$$ and I am only a poor little freshman in college. Does anyone have a leveling kit set up with 33s and a heavy 5.4L engine? Does it rub? Any advice or input would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks
It will rub some at a full turn, but not to the extreme that you were told. My buddy has this set up and the rubbing is not bad. Save your money and put the skyjacker 3" suspension lift ($525.00) then there will be no rubbing. That is what i have on mine and love it.

For an inexpensive but damn good lift that you could install yourself click here.
Its the autospring lift, I have it and many others do as well. Took about 2 hours to install and afterwards you'll need a toe-in alignment.
With this lift you would easily clear your tires. Autospring also has a 2" version as well.
I am wrong here or is it the width of the tire that causes the rubbing not the heigth of the tire. My 4 x 4 has plenty of room for a taller tire. I don't see where a taller tire would cause rubbing in a 275 to 295 width.
