AHhhh! Now that that is taken care of, I will head out to the shop and crawl under the truck and get some work done. I hope the Ol lady still likes the truck when the vibration is cured???

Reason: miss spell
I losing motivation fast. Just so I could try it, do I need to take the whole driveline out to lube it up or is there a quicker way just to see if that is the problem.
Wolfe, mine had to be pulled. You might look and see if you have a zirk fitting already installed. Some people put those in if they were going to do heavy towing etc. Most trucks come without a zirk according to my driveline tech.
i made the appointment tomorrow to have my shaft lubed and balanced. Took some time because i wanted to go to a shop that does just that- driveshafts! The closest one is 30 minutes away, but I am set for tomorrow. $35 is cheap enough and i'll post the results.
i'm glad i found this post. I am going to be pulling the transmission this weekend to replace the torque converter and was wondering if that could be the culprit on the vibration also. This truck vibrates at exactly the same mph as ya'll have said. I guess i might as well get the driveshaft balanced while i have it out! Empiretc let us know how it does with the driveshaft balanced and lubed.
This seems to be a very common problem. I had the vibration super bad but discovered that mud cause a bit of the problems cause it put my tires out of balance on my truck. But I still have it and I plan on balancing my drive shaft because I have a diffrent rear end and U-Joints and the tires are balanced.
I know this is the diesel forum but I wanted to add my two cents because I have the same problem. 2005 F250 Crewcab (16k miles), long bed Harley Davidson 4x4 with V10 and 20" wheel. At 40 - 45 mph the truck starts to bounce/vibrate. It smooths out at 50 mph. I hate this because that is usually the speed I cruise at around town but my 1-1/2 year olds head bounces around. I am working with the Ford "stealership" on replacing my warpped grill which I am surprised that they have agreed to replace. The top of it warpped like the bumper cover. I will speak to them about the vibration when I return to get my grill.
Does anyone have an update on this issue? I did read a TSB about a vibration.
Steve
