Code P0782 and P0783
Hello everyone!
I have a 2002 4x4 6.8 X that I bought at a salvage yard, the only the thing that it needed was the front bumper,lights and radiator support. Well we got all that fixes and though it was good to go, so I took it for a test drive and it wouldn't shift to third gear 1st and 2nd are good. I would go 40mph and the rpm's would be at 4000. So I took it to a mechanic shop and put a scanner on it came up with codes P0782 & P0783. can anybody help me or give advise on this problem I will surely appreciate it thanks.

P0782 2-3 Shift Malfunction
P0783 3-4 Shift Malfunction
Although you may not need a new transmission, it's probably best you look into a new or rebuilt one. It may be a simple repair, but have them pull it apart and see what's going on inside.
