The front passenger side window in my '00 f350 seems to bind up about 1/2 way down. It powers up just fine. I took the door panel off last night, looked for obvious things and regreased the regulator. Didn't notice anything funny w/ the tracks, and the problem persists. Any tips?
What you need to do is get ahold of some silicone aerosol spray (not form a gasket, just a silicone lubricating spray) at a hardware or auto parts store. If the window isn't clean, make sure you get any junk off of it and put it down. Then (with a rag handy!) you want to get that spray nozzle in real close to where the window goes up and down and spray in there. Do it from top to bottom. There's no need to take the door panels off. Once you're done, run it up and down a few times and wipe off the excess that gets on the glass.
You might also make it slide up and down a little easier if you put Rain-X on that glass when you've got it clean.
