Couple pic's of my dana 44 with crossover steering. Once I get my front drive shaft back from being lengthend im gonna post some pic's of her in action.
LOOKS GREAT!!! I have a 79 250 w/44 up front, and am very interested in this swap. How bout a write up on it? What'd you do for a drag link, modified passenger knukle, pitman arm?
looks good how did you hook the steering arm to the nuckle am looking to do mine just cant figure out how thanks
You have to get the knuckle machined. They flatten the top out, drill and tap the knuckles to the bolt pattern of the high steer arm, and then put the all-thread bolts in it. Its not too cheap to do. About $75 to get the knuckles done. And then you have to buy the high steer arms for about $125
I just got her out of the shop about a week ago so I havent done much. Im still waiting on the front driveshaft to get finished. Ive been taking my explorer out to the strip mines we have around here, but know im gonna be in this most of the time. I already put a few dents in the bed but that stuff happens.
