Carter YF help
Does anyone know where I can buy the check ball retainer cap/expansion plug for my Carter YF carburetor? The rebuild kit that I purchased from O'reilly, doesn't come with it.

I don't recall there needing to be any sort of cap there. The air horn gasket should just go right on top (after the check ball and weight go in). Can you show what is telling you otherwise? I assume a rebuild sheet?

I'm not the most knowledgeable fellow in the world, but I don't believe that there is one either. If I'm not mistaken, that ball needs to be unobstructed. I'm thinking that it somehow regulates fuel in the accelerator pump circuit. Probably just completely showed my ignorance in this area, but.....
