Talking fuel pump still

96 I do not think that my pushrod is out I am getting fuel into the filter canister but it does not seem to be putting a lot of fuel into it. It will fill filter up but takes quite a few cranks to get it. I have ordered a CPS I hope that is the problem as it has never been replaced and we are at 180,000. So maybe that will clear it up. Thank you for all your help. If you tyhink of anything else let me know Thank yuo Barancher-Vaquero-Still broke down in NM

For anyone who has fuel leaking onto their manifold from the lift pump, the post in this thread from BEECHBM69 (an article by on fuel pump replacement by Sam Miller) is the bomb!! I was so happy to come across it on a search, before I disassembled the leaking pump on my '95. This article covers everything- part numbers, (Ford, International, and Master numbers for Napa, Schucks, AutoZone etc.) procedures and some very important tips and hints.
I am not real familiar with the PSD, but I got this done in about 4.5 hours following the instructions given. I believe it to be within the capabilities of most DIY'ers on these pages. Don't be afraid-Make sure to give yourself plenty of time, be patient (especially with the banjo bolt), and remember the order in which everything comes apart. It goes back together in the exact reverse! LOL
Again, my eternal gratitude BEECHBM69-You tha man!!

I doubt I have the time to swap out my fuel pump....they want $612.58 to install a new one

I would rather do the work myself but I gott leave for a road trip this weekend and I can't afford to have it not work correctly

Just remember when u buy your pump. They are all made by Carter, no one else. So AutoZone NAPA, or anywhere else no matter what the package says it is a Carter pump. Also as far as hoses go just get fuel injection hose from NAPA it will have a blue lining and get fuel injection hose clamps.
