I put a 400 out of a 76 Lincoln into my 79 F250. I switched out the oil pan, pulleys and everything else.
The crankshaft pulley was larger on the Lincoln (one more row for the air conditioner unit), I switched out all the pulleys but not the balancer. My engine's been dieseling, I'm going to mess with the carb, vacuum and timing tomorrow, but I wanted to see if changing the pulleys would've affected the balancer. Just want to make sure that's not the problem.

Neither the pulleys or the balancer will affect dieseling.

By dieseling you mean running after the ignition has been turned off?
This condition can be caused by having the idle set too high, among others.
