Nope, havent been to California in ages. I do know that this is ridiculous no matter what geographical area you live in. Don't know who to blame. The populace blames "big oil", big oil blames the government and their excessive taxation, the government blames big oil and individual operators for gouging. Operators are barely hanging on, only making .03 - .04 cents a gallon profit. I am told that after importing/US producing the oil, refining, processing, delivery with the additive packages, the operator making his few pennies, that a gallon of gas should only cost .95 - .98 cents at the pump. Obviously, someone is making a boat load of money beyond the actual cost. I think I know who too. I did get some relief though. Since I use my truck for business also, Ford did a "fuel re-write" of my contract. My monthlies dropped $120.00 a month. Same terms, same length of contract. I was told by my rep that they are doing this on the V10 mostly. You have to request it and fill out a form. Glad I did. Even though, that is only like giving me a free tank of gas per month. It is at least SOMETHING. I don't see any of my friends with GMs, or DCs getiing anything from them.
