Hey guys, I thought I would share some pics from the July 4th event in Llano TX. I of course I was in my Blue and white bogger, My friend Chad was in the big black Chevy. Both of us are running blown big blocks so he and I were battling all night. I won our class in the end, and also had the fastest pass of the event. 200' in 8.65 seconds. We went 4 rounds in the pit and one more time for bragging rights. I did lose that one. But it was close. You can see in the pics that one lane was deeper than the other, and whoever was in it generally lost. But they also had the obsticle course which consisted of two pits back to back, a U turn and one more pit. I beat him bad in that event and also my brother in law in his white chevy. The green rock buggy is my friend Chris'. It's powered by a pretty stout 460. That thing really flew through the mud. But he would shift and get out of the grove, which slowed him down. Other wise he would have beat us all. And that's my brother in laws white chevy next to him. All in all we had a great time and didn't break anything. I did bend up some tierods crushing some cars at the end of the night. That was fun, but not as easy as the monster trucks make it out to be. They had three cars set up with dirt up to them for a ramp. My first pass over, I cleared all three cars. But coming back I didn't have alot of shutdown room so I kept it in first thinking I would just pop the front end up and land on the cars.......well I did, but when the front came down it landed in the roof of the last car which gave way. When it did, it stopped the truck like a brick wall. I could hear the crowd go OOOOOHHHHHH!!!. It rung my bell but the truck was still running and I drove off and put it on the trailer. There wasn't any pics of that, but we have video, and if I get it figured out I will put it on this post. But for now enjoy.

TX, I had it posted in Texas forum for about a month. Sorry you missed it, we would have loved to have you. Unfortunatly, its a once a year event. But if they decide to do it again, I will post again.
KO, it wasn't me. There was a professional photographer there taking our pics. He gave us his card to that web site. I'm gonna have to buy some. The pics our guys took were good, but not like that.
Austin, I didn't mean to leave you out of that line up man. Forgive me.
Looks cool though. No pics of you on top of the cars?
Was there any non-comp bogging?
I tried to give everyone a heads up in the Texas forum. But I guess that's about as effective as posting a forsale sign in a cemetary. I should have said something here, but I didn't want to double post.
I'm not sure if we have pics on the cars, but I would be willing to bet we do. There were several of us taking video and pic at different points in the night. We just haven't had a chance to compile all our stuff. As for non comp, yeah after it was over there were several people trying the bog, but the guys that were putting it on were kinda tired of pulling people out. They just wanted to wash the dozer off and go home. It was about 3am when we left. So I understand them not wanting to continue pulling out non competitors that were to scared to sign up. You could literally run anything you wanted. So they really had no excuse. Other than Me, Chad, Chris, Charley and Austin, everybody else was just running some beat up crap they threw together. Well, there were a few good rigs there, but for the most part we were the show. All you had to do was pay your $20 and get in line. It doesn't get much easier than that.
thats kinda funny. I'm sittin here tryin to figure out why I cain't ever get pics that good to come out, thinkin maybe I should stop takin em to Wal-Mart, then you tell us they're professional. The second pic is one of my favorites in that lineup. I can't wait til I get my truck done so I can go sling some muck.

Yeah, those are some good pics. Out of about a million pictures I've taken of our crew 4wheeling, maybe 10 came out like that. But a digital camera helps. The guy who took those, just showed up on a whim because he lives close. I'm glad he did, cause I'm gonna buy some. But before the digital, I was at walmart just like you brother hopin' for the best. Yeah, that second pic is one of my favorites too. At that point I had just shifted to second and hit that first wall of mud. It pitched me sideways bigtime. Of course I lost all my momentum, and had to shift back to first. Because unlike our resident big dogs, I'm not making a bazzillion hp. Even with the blower, I'm only makin' about 350 if I'm lucky. It's a really old motor and could use a rebuild. I built it when I was a freshman in hs. I'm 32 now, so probably 17 years old. And I promise every mile has been a hard one. But it still spins the boggers good enough to make me happy. I'll build a better motor once I pop this one. I'm thinking Nitrous on top of the blower ought to do it. Anyway thanks for the compliments Rot.
