Over aspirating?

Over aspirating?
With all this talk of 5inch dual stacks etc. isn't it possable to over aspirate a diesel? I know you can a gas engine. At least that is what I have been led to believe.

maybe im reading this wrong but aspirating has to do w/ the induction not the exhaust and as long as the fuel air mixture is right then your fine though a diesel doesn't a set a/f its all over the place depending on load

Yes, you can over aspirate a diesel. But.... in the real world with most pocket books (ie. $) it is not going to happen. Turbo runs off of exhaust gases leaveing, which spin the the turbo to dirve air in. Add more fuel = more exhaust = faster turbo = more air. So... unless you have a highly modified turbo set up and stock injection set up...it ain't gonna happen. As long as you leave the exhaust manifolds through the turbo the same, you can run just as big of exhaust pipes as you want.
