I need to check out the electrical connectors on the E4OD in my '94 F150. They appear to be on the top right of the tranny, in close proximity to the exhaust. I cannot physically fit my hand up there, let alone see what's going on, so I have been thinking about options.
1) disconnect the drive shaft, remove the rear cross member, and jack up the front of the engine until I can see/reach what's there.
2) disconnect the exhaust system.
3) roll back the floor mat and cut an access hole so I can reach things from above.
I tend to favor #3. Now my question is, where should I cut the hole? If I knew within a few inches, it'd be ok - but I could be off by a foot or more if I did it right now.
Any ideas, suggestions, advice, assistance, help, input???
