2003 Excursion Keyless Entry...
Hello to all...
I recently purchased this X from a local dealer without an owners manual and without an access code for the keyless entry. I have read about finding the code numbers printed on the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) module.
Can anyone share the exact location of the (RAP) module on my truck? I am unable to find it... Many Thanks in Advance.

you can go to your dealer and they would probably retrieve it for you. it stores 2 codes. the first cannot be erased because it is factory set. the second can be programmed by the new user. after that either code can be used at any time.

If you bought your Ex from a Ford dealer, I would definitely go back and ask the salesman to provide you with the code. They should do it without charge. If not a Ford dealer, you might just have to pay the bucks.
Did you also get TWO keys? You can program additional keys and fobs yourself, but you must have two keys to do it. If not, I would demand a second key. You can find both keys and fobs pretty cheaply on eBay.

Ok - Thanks to all who replied. I bought the X from a small local dealer, and there was no owners manual, and I had to go back twice to get the extra key fob.
Guess Im gonna have to fork over the bucks to the Stealer $$$

I to have an 03 X and just the other day finaly maneged to find the (RAP) module.
I removed the radio, drinkholder and trashbag hanger, look through the hole were the radio was and shine a light through the drink holder hole, in the very back against the firewall mine had some white Insulation/sound profing, I hade to push /pull that stuff down to get see the module, It was not easy, it took me several trys, and alot of frustration. Hope this helps, and good luck.
