When I bought my 2005 F150 FX4 (Bought it used), the Factory Keyless access code was not in the paper work. All I had to do was take it to the dealership and they put it on the computer to get the code. If the dealership believes that the key pad is not factory, take it to another dealership and see what they tell you.
did the title have the name of the previous owner or did the dealership apply for and get a new title i.e washed the title to hide the history of the vehicle
In the past when I buy a use vehicle I get the orginal title ifv not they can keep the vehicle
No I did not have the name of the previous owner of the vehicle. Was thinking about having the dealership call him up. However I think I am having more fun with this than anything trying to figure this out on my own (with your guys help that is). It has become a mission more to find the RAP or whatever it is called than anything else at this point. lol
Now for taking out the back seat. Anyone have any ideas on this or is it just as it seems? From what I can see its the bolts that hold down the bench part and then under the back of the seat there are three nuts that hold down that. Remove those and the seat is on hangers or are there more bolts holding down the top part as well?
Your help was awesome. Your instructions that you fax'd over will help me in reprogramming my keyless entry once I tear out the back seat tonight. If I have not said it enough.
Thank you all for the help that you have provided. I am glad there was somewhere for me to get answers and yall here at https://www.ford-trucks.com have helped me out alot.
Got the back seat off. Got the trim pulled back. My mind raced as I gazed upon the Simens VDO device. Quickly I wrote down the 5 digit code. Mission success. Yeah you would think so.
During all this time I tried the instructions I was sent prior to finding the code. Without the Factory code. So the keyless doorpad did not work at all during this time. Not even pushing 7-8 9-0 would not lock the doors.
So after finding the code I was estatic (sp?). I quickly closed up shop and put everything back together. Jumped in the driver seat. Turned the key 8 times and reprogrammed the remote's. Success. Tried the factory code off the device. NADA, nothing. Zip, zilch zero. I did it several times as the instructions indicated. Still nothing. I even tried resetting the code as the factory book states. Nothing.
So now I have the factory code off the RAP computer and a still non functiong keyless remote system. I dont know where I went wrong. Is there any suggestions? Something I might have missed?
