I want excellent quality, fit, stainless steel construction and side exit tip(s). I don't want rear exit, interior drone or for the truck to be overly loud. I have a Mustang for when I'm feeling obnoxious.
Any other brands that I should be considering? Corsa maybe?
I would like all opinions, even from the Flowmaster guys.
Just purchased the Bassani Harley F150 exhaust for a customizing project on my 5.4 truck. It's the cheaper aluminized set-up, but comes with some nice polished tips. Custom fabrication as I had to convert the single in to a dual in (DI), so the stock 'y-pipe' went away. Bassani should also make a SI/DO side exit for your application. Pics are in my gallery.
Nice low rumble, but when I get on it... it lets me know it's alive.

I have a Gibson 3"(I think - may be 3.5") swept side single - not too loud, picked up some gas mileage and performance. There is some drone, but not too bad - I have a very warm 5.0 in a '31 roadster with 40 series Flowmasters if I want to PO the neighbors
I am interested in this mod myself. Doesn't Borla supply the exhaust for the Harley Davidson and Lightning from the factory? What I really want is the Harley Davidson style that has the dual tip single exit behind the rear passenger tire. I do not know which model year had that. Does anyone know where to get that?
Not sure that Borla supplies the factory exhaust for the supercharged trucks. The exhaust that I'm thinking of would be off the supercharged models made in 2002 and 2003. I bought the kit that would have modified the stock behind tire to an in front of tire exit. Note that does involve splitting the "y-pipe" for a non-supercharged truck.

Just installed my corsa sport (single side out, dual tip). Looks great with dual chrome tips out behind the wheel. At low rpms it is quiet, like stock. Anything above that is a deep rumble, but definately not loud and no drone. I am glad I got the sport and not the touring model, which would be too quiet. Cost me 495.00, and worth every penny.
