Side or Rear Exit

Well i think i am going to go with the Flowmaster exhaust system but does any one have any tips on either side or rear exit systems? Is one louder than the other? In the cab that is.

Hi
I have a side exit Borla and I get more sound from under the truck than anything. I don't think exit location makes much difference on sound with my system. Probably matters more on what look you want. I wanted to keep the stock look. Also, consider if you tow a trailer, side exit is better to avoid getting the trailer dirty with exhaust soot. Good luck with whatever you choose.

IMO, I would go with out the rear. Looks better. As far as noise in the cab, i would think that out the rear would be quieter (spelling??)

When you said out the side, I thought you meant in front of the rear tires. Out of the side or straight out the rear, behind the rear tires, there would probably be no significant difference in sound in the cab. If you go dual, go straight out the back. If you go SI/SO, go out the side behind the rear tire.
