That band looking thing is for second gear coasting, along with the coast clutch. It isn't the coast clutch.

Hmmm....looks like I'm gong to hang on the sidelines of this one. My knowledge of the exact internal workings of these transmissions, piece by piece, is not what your's is.

HA HA. Funny this post came about. Mine started the exact same thing...after the wife drove it this past weekend.

I'm going to tear the pan off of it and make sure the CC solenoid is functioning (resistance OK, but if it's actually working??) and the valve moves freely in the bore. If not....MONSTER BOX REBUILD TIME!!!

EDIT:
I flushed the transmission the Thursday previous. Previous flush @55K this one at 82K.
Good time to get rid of the "mechanical diode" POS too.
