powered subs

thinkingabout buying a Kenwood KSC-SW1 model powered sub for my 2004 F-350 CC. I dont want To BOOM BOOM just a little bass. Does anyone have any experience with this unit Pros Cons anything . space is a premium so it seems like a good idea..

not sure what it is, but the amount of boom is usually a function of how hard you run the amp. If you tune it down it'll be just where you want it. In general, I like kenwood systems. I usually work with either them or pioneer.

Jason, how's the decision on the stand-alone powered sub coming? I'm kinda curious if the sub as able to effectively fill that large CC space. I'm sure it will be fine for the moderate level of bass that you want.

Hi Jason. I have the 200 watt Kenwood powered sub. It has a hand held adjustment to change the pass band from very low frequencies up to 150Hz. I found that the more frequency band you select, the less boomy the sub sounds. There also is a volume control to turn it up or down, depending on what you are listening to. It may meet the criteria you are looking for. Also, it is a breeze to install. I like mine a lot.
