when i bought the truck the guy said it was leaking tranny fluid, by the time i went to get it it wouldent move at all and had to be towed home, tranny fluid is full? what could of happened?

Ummmmm, no test drive got it cheap. and knew the tranny was gone. its an auto, i think its the input shaft but wont know till i drop it, unless it is a sencor or something easy and dont have any help would be great

you have there what is known as an A4LD (Automatic, 4 speed, Light Duty,)
If it will not move, dump the pan and check for colour of fluid and how many lbs/kg of filings , then if you want to keep the truck, rebuilt the tranny, remember at this point the tranny is worth more than the truck.....

In my opinion, my 93 explorer is priceless...but on an open market, it's going to get $4-5K...I think a tranny is a bit and a half less than that!

Dont get me wrong, I have a 92 and a 97, both with over 320K, and a good rebuild in canada could run 2800.00 before taxes
