Braden Winch ?

Hey,I bought 67 F250 .Its a project and it has a Braden Winch that is shaft driven.I'm guessing you use the tranny for powering in and out.But I think it easy to tear my clutch up?So I was wondering if anybody had this setup,or what everbody thought it
thanks

Oh, I guess my winch would only be as good as the clutch?

That's a PTO winch. The clutch will be fine, theres alot more stress on the clutch putting power to the wheels than to the winch. The winch is as strong as the sheer pin in the shaft. With that winch you can work it all day without having to worry about batteries running down or winch overheating. The only downside is the winch wont work if your motor dies.
