Sorry for the hijack here, but maybe someone could help me with a post I made a few days ago... and has only 17 veiws at the time I'm posting this. I think I understand what I need to do, I'm just looking for some confirmation and possibly advice. It also has a pic of a 205 with the short adapter. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=504989
If your looking to swap a 205 for your 203 the easiest thing to do is go to the junkyard and find a donor truck. That way you will have everything you need right there. I did the same swap in my truck years ago and it was easy. I just found a truck with a C-6 and NP-205 and took them both and swapped them in as a pair. That would be the easiest way to go.

I replied to your other post in the transmission forum.
This is where I think that posting in the specific year and model forum for drivetrain or engine questions is better than in the specialty forums. In my experience, there isn't as many viewing in those forums and there will be better response posting to the larger ones such as this one.
All F150, F250 and F350 trucks got the short adapter and all Broncos got the longer adapter. Now I have for gotten what the ext. cab got and the crew cab.
I have read many times that one just needs to pull the 203 and bolt the 205 in place of course drive shafts will have to be redone. I recall something about the trans pan and the front drive shaft but I am not sure what that was. I have not done the swap but in order to go from the short adapter to the long you have to swap the output shafts in the trans.
