I would like to add some ground effects. I cant find any made for an F100. Any body know if other model Fords that have any ground effects that might be interchangeable?
ground effects????u mean like a little ricer honda civic????please dont do that.... a roll pan would be fine but dont put on a body kit pleeeeeeease(this coming from a 15 yr old should mean something, especially in todays ricer polluted world)
Yeah check the sponsors here at FTE 1st, they have some stuff ya know. . . .
Plus Aw don't get down on the rice tuners, they're SOOooooo much fun to beat in the street b'cause they think their SO BAD [not] but sound like. . . . .well never mind that.
I really like ones that go for a "bottle", They actually think they're qwik when they're on the squeeze [again NOT].
There's no replacement for Displacement, especially in the triple digit realm, ya know what I'm sayin'?
7.5L makes them choke especially in a "USA TRUCK" that's tweaked right. . . . Hah!
I hate to admit my age, but I collect social security & I agree with broke77 totally.

what do ricers have? 1.8L? my truck is at 4.9L/300ci. right now but imma bore it .080 and displace 312ci. thats something like 5.2L right? thats like 3x bigger than a honda...7.5L is something like 5x is it not? do not put on ground effects but you should get a roll pan and maybe "shave" the front bumper bolts and have it re-chromed...im gonna do that with my 77 F-100...and keep the truck with a normal paint too...dont get any import graphix either...actually you could get some sweet "pearlescant" paint that would look kinda cool cuz 73-79 have round and sharp curves all around...
I don't know of any side mouldings available, Lund makes a good looking rear roll pan... I've always wanted a front air dam under the front bumper, but have yet to find one - There is a user here with one that looks good.
What kind of ground effects did you have in mind? Don't mind these guys, they (myself included) don't care much for the 'ricer' imports - some are just a little more 'vocal' with their feelings, it's nothing personal toward you. I'm always open to new ideas... that's what keeps the interest in the older pickups, and keeps the aftermarket support...
oh yah...i was really being against the idea or anything its just that...i HATE "ricers" imports...Marty do you know how much a Lund rear roll pan is? i need a roll pan but i want a smooth one that doesnt have a license plate area thingy...i will probably smooth inside and outside of the tailgate and inside of the bedsides and floor of my truck after i get a bed for it...im also planning on "shaving" the sidemarker lights on the fenders and rear bed panels...check my truck out in the gallery please...im goin for the sport truck/street rod...i guess its a truck rod? doin a build on my I6(300) for 312ci and upwards of 500HP more in the 600HP range and at least 400 lb ft. of tq....sounds outrageous indeed but HEY im gonna do it anyway...its all about being unique and such...im lookin for a 80s-early 90s Crown Vic Wagon with a 5.0/5.8 in it to make into a "sleeper" and black it all out(headlights, windows, taillights, paint, black rims, black grille, black everyting) have fun lookin for ground effects...u could always buy a kit for a newer truck and fabricate a little bit yourself
Rice Burners???? You guys are funny!!!! I will have a rice burner BURNER when I am done.....
What I have in mind will be different, but will not ruin the looks of the truck. It will be lowered, and leveled. 18's all around. A wing (small one) on the tailgate, if (I said IF) I can find one, an air dam on the front.
I wouldnt mind aluminum running boards in one piece, but the frame flex would bend them, so I want fiberglass fender flares and running boards. The only problem is, I dont want any seams visible. At all.
It will be hard to mold the factory flares into the body and paint scheme.
If I cant find them to fit, one of the guys I work with and I are going to make them.
I will have pics of the project soon for viewing. As soon as I have time to set up a gallery.....
i love these old trucks just the way they came from the factory, but every now and then its nice to see someone with bold new ideas. i hate ricers, but id still like to see how this turns out.
