How to remove intake manifold??!?!?!?

So I attempt last night to replace the exhaust gasket as it sounds like I'm driving a tractor down the road.

I get all the bolts out except for one, its the first front bottom bolt.
In my case I have long tube headers and I cant get to this bolt from any angle, I'm still scratching my head on how they put it on in the first place.

Any ideas on this?

BTW this is on a I-6

What brands are the intake and exhaust? I know on some of the Clifford stuff, and on some Pacesetter headers, you have to use a swivel and long extension.

The intake is stock, however on the headers I have no idea they where on the truck when I got them. If I took a picture would you be able to tell?

If a short flex-head socket doesn't work as the primaries turn down you might have to grind down a 12 point box wrench and take your time. When reinstalling that bolt will have to be threaded in first as the primaries will block the bolt. I have Thorley's and a thin walled Proto box will fit but Snap-On's thicker wall hits the primaries. Use anti-sieze on your bolts.

IIRC, that bolt just holds the intake and exhaust tight to the head, you might be able to loosen the bolt a little and slip the intake out, so you can take the bolt out the rest of the way. You might want to look into an extended shoulder bolt like some chevies use for the exhaust. Basically, it's a stud, with a flange where the bolt head would normally be, then a long shank, and a hex head. If you have a specialty fastener store near you, they might be able to come up with something.

Hey guys here are some pics of my headers...Which ones are these? Seems like the walls are very thin metal, which could be the reason my gas line seems so dang hot all the time.

Also is the picture of the bolt I am trying to remove.

Ok, those look kinda like the Hedmann ones-
Unfortunetely, you have to pull the alternator mount, and flop the alternator over to get to that bolt.
You can help the temps by wire wheeling or media blasting the headers, and painting them with VHT ceramic header paint. Wrapping also helps, but needs to be maintained.
