first is this bolt reverse threaded? and i've put some grade 8 bolts in the balancer where the pulley used to bolt up and used a pry bar and a breaker bar with 6 point socket, i just bent the bolts, its on tight. So i'm thinking air wratchet but first i'd like any suggestions or help especially i'd like to know if this bolt is reverse threaded. Cause then i'd know if i tightened it or not.
No, not reverse threaded. try stick a screwdriver though the balancer and jam it under the front of the engine. Or same thing with the flywheel. Last thing to try is a pipe wrench on the collar behind the balancer.
use an impact! it will take over 100ftlbs to do anything. I suggest to turn the impact on its highest setting and let the compressor tank build up to 130psi or more and then loosen it. I don't know what you have but both my impact and compressor are adjustable.
OK, thanks for the suggestions, got it off with a big breaker bar and a pipe. also had pipe wrench on the collar, i'll tell you if i broke anything. it was TIGHT went POW when it gave way. thanks again fellas
