After my last post I took the suggestions to pull the door panel and lube the window tracks. I did that and ran the window up and down about 5 or 6 times with each trip up, the window got progressively slower. About half way up the 6th time, it really slowed and finally stop. The switch would do nothing. I let it set about 10-15 seconds, hit the up switch, the window went up all the way but slowly. The whole time, I noticed that it seemed the relay was clicking kind of loud. Is this normal? Does it sound like the motor? I priced one at Autozone $54 and NAPA for about $100 with the NAPA motor having a 1 yr. warranty. Thoughts or suggestions welcome. Thanks.
Try swapping the relay from another door and if it does the same thing you haven't spent a penny just a little of your time to satisfy your curiosity. It beats buying something electrical that you can't take back once it has been installed.
I'll be interested to hear your solution. My front passenger side window has always been slow & has stopped many times. I have to make sure the idle is up & things are charged before i do it up or down. When i hold all 4 buttons to put all of the windows up or down simultaneously, it is the only one that takes longer. Sometimes, the rear vent windows won't move & i have to wait a while for them as well.
I swapped the horn relay to the one touch relay and it didn't make a difference in how loud the click was or the fact that the window still worked 5 or 6 cycles and then slowed way down and finally stopped. I guess that it looks like the motor.
